Element symbols with own images are in bold, those with external images are not, imitations are italic and those without individual image are grey. Put the mouse pointer on a symbol in the periodic table above to see the element's name. The chemical elements of the periodic table are ordered by the number of protons in their nucleus.

States of matter at standard conditions for temperature and pressure (0° C, 1013.25 mbar): . gas, .. liquid, ... solid

The names of the elements from 113 onwards are systematically and will change in the future.
Rare earth elements are scandium, yttrium, lanthanum and the lanthanoids [21, 39, 57-71]
Chalcogens are the group 16 or oxygen group elements [8, 16, 34, 52, 84, 116]
Platinum group metals are ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, osmium, iridium and platinum [44-46, 76-78]
Noble metals are the platinum group metals, silver and gold [44-47, 76-79]. Sometimes, rhenium [75] and mercury [80] are counted among them.
Deuterium, 1D, of course isn't an element, but an isotope of hydrogen.
